École Buissonnière is billed as a B&B but it is really a little nirvana in the middle of idyllic Québec farmlands.

The outside of the building can be quite misleading. Once you step inside, you are transported to another world - modern decor is tastefully fused with early 19th century and art deco. You are surrounded by art, books and curios.

The scent of lavender hangs in the air. The bedrooms are large - each has its own colour theme and character, with private bathroom ensuites, including huge bathtubs lit up by sconces on the wall. A pitcher of cold water with anise sits on the desk. Duvet covers, thick mattresses, plump pillows, soft lighting and blackout shades guarantee an evening/night of pure tranquillity and comfort.

Breakfast is served in an elegant dining room, with soft music in the background.

This place is especially great if you are looking for a romantic escape or need some down time or pampering. Everything caters to the senses and the hosts try hard to accommodate your needs.

The B&B is located in the middle of cornfields, the neighbouring villages and hamlets have art galleries, historic buildings, antiques and there are some fine restaurants.
