UnratedRate this Inn The Beacon Hill Bed & Breakfast consists of two quite large bed-sitting rooms, comfortably furnished with a double or queen bed plus a large sofa-bed, each with a new private bath. Non-working fireplaces add interest to the original architectural details. The rooms make up the second floor of my home, an elegant 1869 Victorian row-house on a lovely tree-lined curved street in Boston's best location, an easy walk to most everywhere, in an historically preserved neighborhood. Two white dogs, Chloe, a small standard poodle, and Trushka, a coton de Tulear, add to the friendly ambiance. There is an elevator for luggage, but my front door is several steps up from street level. Guests bringing cars park in a nearby public garage under the Boston Common; many arrive by taxi from the airport. Each morning I serve a full breakfast featuring homemade granola plus a hot entree and the usual beverages in a handsome dining room with Oriental rug and French chandelier, reflecting the many years I lived in Paris.
