Nestled among the pines in scenic West Virginia, The Ponderosa Lodge offers comfortable country style lodging at family prices. Each of our ten rental rooms has a private bath and individually controlled heating and cooling. The entire building is non smoking. All of the exciting outdoor activities this area is noted for, including whitewater rafting, rock climbing, horseback riding and hiking, are within easy driving distance. The Lodge is also available for special events such as church and business retreats, family reunions, and hunting or fishing expeditions. Conveniently located on Route 60, the Midland Trail, the Ponderosa Lodge is an easy 15 minute drive to the New River Bridge and Fayetteville, WV.

Skiing Season is Here!
The Ponderosa Lodge is the ideal place for your large group to stay while skiing at Winterplace Ski Resort, less than an hour south of us. Our 10 guest rooms with private baths and 1,300 sq. ft. Great Room offers plenty of space for large groups with the convenience of staying in one building. We are also only 10 minutes from Babcock State Park and miles of snowshoeing and cross-country skiing trails. Our 16 acres offers many opportunities for winter play, including snowman building, snowball fighting, and hiking. Kitchen priveleges are available for an additional cost.

New River Birding and Nature Festival
The Ponderosa Lodge will be hosting a walk for the New River Birding Festival. Previous surveys of our trails have averaged over 90 species of birds such as Yellow-Throated warbler, Cedar Waxwing, Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, Scarlet Tanager, as well as a Bald Eagle.
