Mystic bed and breakfast just 2.5 miles from Historic Downtown MysticPequot Hotel Bed and Breakfast711 Cow Hill RoadMystic, Connecticut 06355 United States 860-572-0390 FAX: 860-536-3380 pequothtl@aol.com http://www.pequothotelbandb.com Rate this Inn The Pequot Hotel was built in 1840 by Capt. Richard Burnett. He operated the hotel as a stagecoach stop and a secret meeting place for the Freemasons until 1858, at which time the train became the preferred method of travel and the Freemasons "revealed" themselves and built a new Lodge in downtown Mystic. Nancy and Jim purchased the hotel in 1976 as a "fixer-upper." In 1991, with too many rooms for just 2 people, they opened the hotel as a bed and breakfast. At that time they had just one room available. In 1994, after completing work on the final 2 rooms, they finally had all 3 rooms open for guests. The Pequot Hotel operates as a traditional bed and breakfast, small, intimate and with the owners in residence. After just a short while, guests no longer feel like guests, but rather like friends visiting with friends. The breakfasts, too, are a special treat, with fresh eggs from the resident chickens, and Jim, the "pancake king" in the kitchen. Nancy and Jim are happy to help in any way to accommodate your needs, from simple dinner recommendations, to planing the entire itinerary for your stay.
