“Tropical Rest” Bed & Breakfast in Costa Rica, La Garita de Alajuela, features oversized rooms with comfortable king, queen and twin beds, private bathrooms, and gourmet cooking and family atmosphere from hosts Phyllis & Ebe Kronhausen. Prices range from $75-$105 per night, include breakfast, dinner, and free ride to and from the airport. Farmhouse in the quiet countryside surrounded by nature -beautiful mountain views- featuring meals at the wraparound balcony, sun decks and just 20 minutes from the Juan Santamaria International Airport and 50 minutes from San Jose.


Moderate rates: $75 single-occupancy, $85 double-occupancy, $95 double-occupancy with child, $105 triple-occupancy. House sleeps six persons max.


Nutritious food: Brunch-type breakfasts; your choice of seasonal fruit, cooked multi-grain cereal, French toast, scrambled eggs, toast, tamales, fresh brewed tea or coffee. Gourmet dinners; your choice of roast chicken or sea bass with vegetables and brown rice or real mashed potato side-dishes, your choice of red wine or beer.


Transportation: Airport pickup and drop-off for arriving and departing flights during daylight hours. At nighttime take airport orange taxi and we will pay for it.
