The Cascade Inn Historic Bed & Breakfast, formerly Bluebird on the Mountain, is known for gentle mountain breezes, rolling streams, distant train whistles, lovely gardens and American history at it's doorstep.

Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge and Catoctin Mountains, this historic Georgian home (circa. 1890) was once the home of Col. Walter H. Taylor, aid to Gen. Robert E. Lee, and is decorated with Victorian and Early American antiques, white lace draperies, and wicker furniture. French doors lead you to your spacious suite where a warm fireplace, comfortable bed and Jacuzzi tub await you. Relive history at the Battlefields of Gettysburg, Antietam and Monocacy, hike on the Appalachian Trail, fish, swim, canoe, or enjoy hours of leisurely shopping in local antique shops and outlets.
