The Pack Saddle Ranch was originally built as a working ranch and used as a base for outfitting services. It was converted into a Bed & Breakfast and opened for business in May 1997. The furnishings are a blend of country and western which we feel gives a feeling of casual homey comfort. The Yellow Jacket Creek runs through the property providing fishing for native rainbow trout. There are 26 acres of pasture and forest backed by National Forest land, abundant with wildlife. We have 2 guest rooms in the main house, large common areas and 2 guest cabins. A full breakfast is served each morning and we are knowledgeable about the hiking trails and area attractions. Horseback riding, pack trips and fishing trips are among the many available activities we offer. A new hot tub was installed in 1998 and the views from it are quite beautiful. This is the place to be when you don't want to stay in the city and still want to be close enough to take advantage of all that either Durango or Pagosa Springs has to offer.
